It took me forever to finish this mostly because I would only work on it in bits and pieces until the 4th of July (2006) when I decided to work on it for a few hours straight. It is very appropriate for the 4th of July I think. Rod (the guy) is an old roommate of mine. He asked me to draw a portrait based on a photo of him and his wife. He also liked the eagle sketch which I made a couple of years ago for my art class so I thought it would be cool to add that to the portrait here.
